Even though I had browsed for a file and the file path was appearing in the file upload field, I kept on getting the message 'Select any file first'

Can you please share the link with my uploader plugin installed? I think it could be due to jquery.

    regards,
    Najeeb

Sorry to hijack this post, but since you've replied..

Does this uploader, upload to the site ftp? if so, does it create a folder for these files? I tried searching through my ftp and didn't find anything after successfully uploading a file..

I am also getting this error above my uploader:

Warning: mkdir() [function.mkdir]: No such file or directory in /EditedSiteLink/wp-content/plugins/nmedia-user-file-uploader/nm_fileuploader.php on line 88

    Thank you for your assistance

Nevermind, I figured out the issue.

The plugin did not install a "user_uploads" folder for the uploads to be saved in - fixed my issue and answered my question :)

Well.. nevermind, it just fixed the coding issue above the uploader... the files I try to upload don't show up anywhere in my FTP and I it says page can not be found when I try to download the file it just uploaded.. any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Yes I've made sure I can write to the user_upload folder. It still doesn't show up when I try to upload something.

Will this upload plugin work with a php5.initial file? Or does it have to be php.initial? Or does it matter?

    Thanks!

It does create a User Folder when I try to upload, but the folder itself comes up empty? Not sure why it's not saving the files I try to upload..

Well it seems there is problem with your server side permissions. please check these setting again.

I've double checked the settings and they seem correct. I went ahead and uninstalled the plugin, deleted the files and deleted the users_upload folder I manually created.

Went ahead and reinstalled, and it gives me the error again above the upload widget:
Warning: mkdir() [function.mkdir]: No such file or directory in /home/content/mysitelink/wp-content/plugins/nmedia-user-file-uploader/nm_fileuploader.php on line 88

There seems to be a problem being able to create this folder for some reason. I have set the whole wp-content folder as writable within GoDaddy to see if it would solve the issue without any luck.

I've looked into it further, the users_upload file is writable, however, any user folder it creates within that folder is not set to be writable. It will create the folder, but there will be nothing inside the folder...

could this be the issue why nothing is in these folders? Because the folder is not initially writable?

However, even when I manually set it to be writable and try to upload again, the folder is still empty..

It looks really cool... but any file bigger than a meg or two uploads to 100%, the gives a HTTP error.
Another file (4.5 megs) uploaded, shows complete, but never appeared on my ftp. If I try to download from the web interface, it says 'not found'.

    Hi,

it is due to your php.ini file upload size limitation, please increase your file upload size from php.ini, it will work.

    regards,
    Najeeb

I increased the upload and buffer to 500m, but still got "IMG_9369.CR2 (26.45MB) - HTTP Error". I'm going to reboot everything and check the ini file to see if it's really updating.

After a reboot, files that didn't work are now working. I'm going to test a few more browsers and will let you know.

I am getting the following error:

WordPress database error: [Unknown column 'userRole' in 'field list']
    INSERT INTO wp_userfiles (fileName,userID,fileType,fileSize,userRole,fileUploadedOn,fileMeta,bucketName) VALUES ('footerImage.gif','1','.gif','3434','','2012-07-17 14:50:43','[]','')
    Error in Saving File

Also - it is showing a save button and not a submit button that then brings up the upload message (i.e. your file has been sent successfully)

    My site is http://printpointe.net/print/resource-center/upload-file/

PrintPointeCO, I think you just bought PRO version, please deactivate it and then activate it will remove the old database structure.

Hello - I did just buy the PRO version. I tried deactivating and re-activating. I even reverted back to an old website and database file - then reloaded it from scratch.

See the site above now that I updated it. It says "files saved refreshing window" and every thing is blank. It does not show the uploaded message - and does not show the file that was uploaded in the upload list.

I've been trying a million things - the Standard Version Works Great. Is it possible that something is faulty with my PRO version?

Thanks so much for your help!

Also - If I can get this to work then I plan on purchasing the pro version for all of our national locations. I have not found anything else out there that would work as great as this. If I can get it to work that is.

    Hi nmedia,

The plugin is conflicting with another plugin I've installed Easy Digital Downloads Version 1.3.3. Will you be releasing a new version that can fix this problem?
