Ninja Announcements Lite
[resolved] [Plugin: Ninja Announcements] Creating and editing of the text message doesn't work (10 posts)

If I create or edit an announcement text, I cannot see the text in the editor. Only if I mark everything it is visible.
It seems as if there is white text on white background.
I tried it in two of my blogs and it is same in both cases.

    Hey Freemind,

I haven't seen this on any of the blogs that I have installed Ninja Announcements on. I just uploaded and activated on a fresh install of 3.1 and I don't see any problems. In order to help you troubleshoot what's going on, see if you can answer a few questions for me:
    1) What version of WordPress are you using?
    2) Can you give me a list of plugins that are currently active?
    3) Are you using something like WPsuperCache or another Caching program?
    4) Anything about your installations that are customized? (Directories, filename, etc?)
    5) Have you ever used the plugin before successfully? (e.g. did the problem just start happening, or is this your first attempt at using it.)

Thanks for using the plugin, hopefully we'll get it sorted out soon,

    Kevin

To me also, the editor is not showing. I can't enter text.

    Hey winteum,

The most likely culprit is a plugin conflict. If you could do a little bit of trouble shooting, we can probably figure out what's going on.

    - First, go to plugins and disable all your plugins except for Ninja Announcements.
    - With all the other plugins disabled, go edit an announcement and see if you can input text.
    - If you can input text, then start at the bottom of your plugins list and activate them one at a time, checking your Ninja Announcements editor after every activation. When you activate a plugin and are unable to see the editor, let me know which plugin it is.

    Thanks for using Ninja Announcements.

I removed all plugins and still no editor. Tested with Chorme, Firefox 4, and Safari.
    What more can I try?

    Hey winteum,

Are you using a theme? If you go to edit a regular post or page, do you have any problems with that editor? There is still a conflict somewhere, I just need to figure out where yours is.

I'm using Arthemia Premium but I've tried to change and still the same issue.
I'm editing with the default WP editor, not visual one.

    Hey winteum,

At this point, I think the only way I'll be able to figure it out is to actually log into your WordPress admin and see what is going on. If you are not comfortable with that, I understand, but I'm not sure how much further I'll be able to figure out via proxy troubleshooting.

If you are interested in continuing down that path, please don't post any of your login information here. You can send it to me via email: kgstover55@gmail.com

This problem should be fixed with the newest version of Ninja Announcements.
