• Hey all,

This is my first post to an issue I’ve had in the 2 years using WordPress. I usually find my answers through a variety of pages, but this one I can’t get to work. Having a unique issue that I haven’t been able to find a solution for within the forums. I have also tested found options with custom fields, hacking gallery.php to show alt links (currently in use) and other random tests, but none that have done what I need.

Here is the page I’m working on: . It’s in production, this is literally the last thing on the list as it’s taken me the longest to figure out.

I have a video gallery for my client’s comedy shows. Some links are straight from YouTube, which are easy to embed with [nggvid][/nggvid] and some links are from a website where the embed code uses a flash player and swf file.
    ie:
    <embed src='http://www.rooftopcomedy.com/flash/fmpv3/RooftopPlayerEmbedded.swf' bgcolor='#161513' flashVars='baseURL=http://www.rooftopcomedy.com&clipCode=YouSmashHomies' width='448' height='292' allowFullScreen='true' allowScriptAccess='always' pluginspage='http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/index.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash'></embed>

So what I’d like to do is be able to have the video like the YouTube videos play, right within in the lightbox. Any suggestions?

If that can’t work out or I can’t wrap my head around it, I’d like to be able to make it so when you click the video thumbnail, it opens up to the new window the video is on (an external link). Is that workable?

I have a pretty firm understanding of what I’m doing and if not I’m a quick learner and am willing to try things out.
    Thanks in advance
    Ali

    Hiya,

    Apologies for the tardy reply!

Let me see if I’ve got this right – the flash (swf) video you are referring to is on a website that doesn’t allow you to ‘share’ the video – i.e. there is no share button to click and get the video URL. The embed code you pasted above is from the source and doesn’t include the actual URL of the video so you can’t actually get the URL to do [nggvid]URLhere[/nggvid]? Is that correct?
