Facebook does not support HTML, so you can’t include an image to your post and so %IMG% tag is pretty useless for it. The only way to get image to Facebook is to “attach” the blogpost to your Facebook post.

    Hi,
I am a bit confused as under the instructions for Facebook for format info, it says we can use any of the tags…

%SITENAME% – Inserts the Your Blog/Site Name, %TITLE% – Inserts the Title of your post, %URL% – Inserts the URL of your post, %SURL% – Inserts the Shortened URL of your post, %IMG% – Inserts the featured image, %TEXT% – Inserts the excerpt of your post, %RAWTEXT% – Inserts the body(text) as typed, %FULLTEXT% – Inserts the processed body(text) of your post, %AUTHORNAME% – Inserts the author’s name.

Should %IMG% not be include here for Facebook?

    Thanks

You are right, it does sound confusing. it should say: “%IMG% – Inserts the URL of the featured image”
