• So far I love the plugin, but I’m going to have well over 1,000 galleries on my site. As you can see, this is a problem to upload each one via the uploader.
Is there anyway to upload all of them in separate folders and use the folder title as the gallery title?

  • Hi twigg,

No I don’t think there is anyway of ftping the images into the galleries as a number of database tables need to be populated when you create an gallery with this plugin!

You are able to zip the galleries and upload then through the admin panel. Which will save you a look of work as it uncompresses them on upload for.

I’ve seen it done before regarding non-wordpress PHP scripts where you upload a ton of zips or directories and then they remain in a “Need Moderation” type area. Then you add the database information(title, category, description, tags, etc) per zip/directory.
This would be an AMAZING feature to add to NG Gallery in my opinion. I would even pay for the feature.
