Upload fail and freeze (2 posts)

When trying to upload images I get either a freeze - sometimes at 1%, sometimes 4% last one was at 28%. I have tried the flash disabled and no progress.

I have managed to upload sometimes, but also have issues when this happens. I get the following message

    ID 17: A failure occurred
    [more]
matt-glacier.jpg (Error : Exceed Memory limit. Require : 87.1 MByte)

    for a 14MB file!

I was having a discussion with my server support and asked them as follows

    [12:04:56 PM] with a 14MB file
[12:05:50 PM] seems the file is there, but the thumbnail isn't….any thoughts? (and why would it say 87.1MByte for a 14MB file…?)
Cory: [12:06:13 PM] Here's the error I see in the php error logs:
[08-Apr-2012 18:05:08] PHP Warning: Division by zero in /home6/themuse3/public_html/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/admin/edit-thumbnail.php on line 42

My limit for uploads and posts are both 100M

As I say there, there is no thumbnail but the image seems to be uploaded…

Any thoughts or recommendations for other uploaders…I am hoping to change to a Themeforest theme soon and want this sorted before really getting stuck into it.

    Cheers

    ps
I won't always be uploading such large files, but occaissionally may need to for my photo based business.

    pps

I'm having the same issue with smaller photos. I have no limit on uploads, but if I create a gallery then attempt to upload photos it will only upload one. Then the uploader will freeze and fail to work. Once it's failed, it won't work in other browsers.

I had to disable the "flash" uploader and do it manually. Pain in the butt.

I tried it in firefox, chrome and safari. All to the same result, the flash uploader fails to work after the first photo.
