• Hi posted this on another topic, but then noticed it was marked resolved so posting again here… hope this is not breaking etiquette!

    I’m having a similar problem – just installed and uploaded 15 images, only one created a thumbnail and when I try and edit them, it get this error message below.
    I’m using the latest version of wordpress with a thesis theme.

    the image that created the thumbnail is 1972 x 1100 pixels, the others are larger (some 5000 pixels).

    help?

  • Not sure if you’ve resolved this, but as a matter of course, I wouldn’t upload any images greater than about 1000px on the longest side. Most monitors can’t do a whole lot more and that’s if you use the whole screen. Personally, I size mine to about 900×600. I have a feeling that’s part of your issue.

    If you need a good (free) image editing program, try Google’s Picasa. Works great.
