[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Thumbnails at bottom of page in Firefox, fine in IE (8 posts)

    When you view the page in IE (I use IE7), then thumbnails are at the top, where they belong. When you view it in Firefox (I use Firefox 3), the images are at the bottom.

    I've changed the padding and margins -- does not resolve it.

    I've looked in the CSS for the "max-width:100%" and neither my template CSS nor the NextGen gallery has this.

    I have no idea what could cause this. Any thoughts?

    SlamD . . .

    I still have no solution or idea of the cause. I noticed that on pages where the content is longer, the pictures are right below the text where they belong. But when the text is shorter, the pictures are at the bottom.

    I just noticed something that may help, and your's may be the same. In Firefox 3 and Safari 3, the pictures are always just lower than the bottom of the right column.

    SlamD,

    I found the problem as to why it was lower than the right column. In the CSS file you'll find the following for the album and gallery views:

    .ngg-albumoverview {
    	margin-top: 10px;
    	width: 100%;
    	clear:both;
    	display:block !important;
    }

    .ngg-galleryoverview {
    	overflow: hidden;
    	margin-top: 10px;
    	width: 100%;
    	clear:both;
    	display:block !important;
    }

    I removed the "clear:both;" from the gallery view (I don't us album view) and it fixed the problem!

    Many thanks jrothra. It works now. The thumbnails are now on the right place, but the comments section are still at the bottom.
    Not perfect, but better:

    Take out the other clear:both (look around line 161) in the css and you're fine!
