[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Supporting alternative file extensions

    Alex,

    I dropped you an e-mail but thought I would post this query too.

    How easy would it be to amend the plugin to support .swf files too as I wanted to use your plugin to power a wordpress blog arcade (but also a gallery).

    But I can’t create any thumbnail from a swf, so what should it show instead ? Seem to be a lot of extra coding, to circle around the standard way…

    couldn’t the script capture a screenshot?

    alternatively couldn’t we associated a screenshot via upload with each swf file?

    This is a deeper change , it requires special routines for swf handling, it requires other handling during upload and so on… I don’t feel you will pay that amount of special work, because it ends up in a new plugin for you…
