    Hi,

I love this plugin, but, unfortunately, the slide show widget is not showing on pages except for the the homepage when using internet explorer. The "loading" gif just keeps rotating. The widget works perfectly in Firefox and other browswers. Any suggestions on how to fix this issue?

    Thanks!

I jst received a comment from a client regarding this same issue. I'm not sure of the IE version, but she said the images never load for her, whereas they load in Firefox.

    Hi Alex,

I was looking at it on IE8. It usually works the first time I pull it up, but when I click on a second page is when the issue happens.

    Thanks

Ok, then it's the issue I'm working on... Caused by cache

Hi Alex, I implemented it and I don't think that it fixed it. Feel free to give it a try as well. Thanks

Your problem seems to be based to the fact that you load two time jQuery Cycle. I feel this get in conflict.. switch to default theme and check it again

I too was having the problem when a page was reloaded in IE8. I instituted this code change but now the secondary images (not the first to load) are being resized smaller. You can see a sample here: http://s343325748.onlinehome.us/wordpress/school/

Same problem only displays on first page then not on others in ie8 and firefox. I have the latest plugin and tried the update from above. thanks

I upgraded to the latest version at http://alexrabe.de/ and it fixed my problem of not loading the 2nd time in IE8, but now only in IE8 the images are distorted - squished to be tall and thin.

Hello, the problem still persists also with wp 3.1 de and nextgen 1.7.4, any workaround?

I'm having a similar problem. The loading graphic just keeps spinning. If I refresh the page it will load fine but on first load I get nothing but the spinner.

WP 3.1 and NextGen Version 1.7.4

*added* I take that back - the refresh didn't work after all.

I'm running WP 3.1 and recently updated to NextGen version 1.7.4 as well and had the exact same problem...reverted back to use version 1.0.3 of the file ngg.slideshow.js and everything works fine now.

    Hi to all,
@phizzy, thanks for your input, it put me on the right way.. just was looking where to find that file version number..
@ all who have the same issue: download here the version 1.7.0 and de-zip it. Under /js find the two files ngg.slideshow.js and ngg.slideshow.min.js and copy them to the correct folder on your webserver. This did resolve the problem for me..

    +1 to gasserol:
I can confirm that overwriting .js with version 1.7.0 solved the issue.

    Thanks!

Confirm, 1.7.0 captches the issue rather than current stable (1.7.4). Alex, consider it

I also have this problem with version Versie: 1.7.4
I'm not sure if I will "update" the js with the older version... But thanks for finding a workaround.
