I noticed weird problem when I install Custom Contact Form-plugin.
Nextgen-gallery stops working on my sidebar. It just shows me the spinning loading circle. Have anyone encountered to this same problem?
Unless the author fixes this, it’s going to stay broken. If you want it to work, follow Chewbakka’s instructions above.
-Download the ImageRotat0r plugin.
-Place in your wp-content/uploads folder (don’t necessarily need the PDF file, or the JPGs and their XML, but definitely the SWFs.
-Go to your Gallery Admin panel, select Options, then the Slideshow tab
-Scroll down to the settings for the ImageRotator and hit the search button. It should find your new files.
-Change any of the settings for the slideshow, such as the background color used behind the images, etc.

As you said worked like a charm. Now the only issue is that the slideshow cuts the bottom off of my images, no matter which settings I use. Turned off stretch and tried all of those settings, set the size to the size of the images and even tried it larger. After all of those changes, I can tell it simply wants to justify all of the image about 10 pixel below the bottom edge no matter what size or stretch setting I use. Any ideas? I’m going to also post this to the other forum.

Have you done anything to your style sheet that may have changed the positions of items on your website?
Include a link to the site/page with the issue so we can see what you mean.
If anyone wants to add a sidebar slideshow (widget), download the JJ NextGen JQuery Cycle.
It is also very smart phone/tablet friendly. No flash is needed.
I’ve tried all this (chooseamc points) right from the get go. This has been the issue, doesn’t work! There’s something else going on here with this plugin! I have no where to turn.

Another thing, the only thing that works is ‘insert NextGEN gallery’ Image list and Imagebrowser. Not only does the slideshow not work but under the ‘album’ tab, if I insert an album, nothing happens on the page load.
Would appreciate any help.

When you say “insert an album” what have you done to insert it?
In Pages, there’s an icon on the menu bar far right above the visual/html box that was added with NextGEN gallery. It’s the ‘Add NextGEN gallery’ icon. It then inserts a bit of code in your page depending on the selection taken for adding the gallery (ie: [nggallery id=2]).
I wish there was an error log to refer to! I’m new to WP (but love it)

Garball – I’m surprised my steps above aren’t working for you. I had the exact same error. I just think slideshow will NOT work without either the ImageRotator plugin or the JJ NextGen plugin mentioned above. Got to have one or the other (not sure if there is a conflict by having both).
When you “insert an album” is the icon (or are you) putting in the shortcode? [album id=1]
Did you drag/drop the gallery you want onto the album in the Album menu of NexGen (bottom left of main left side menu)?
Same problem with the album – clicking on and album goes nowhere. Had it working in the same page as the album for a minute and but there was no way to get back to the album view intuitively – so i tried to link the galleries from the album into a page and got nothing ….
back now to clicking and going nowhere on the album…. someone help!!

Got the show back – clicked on options and under galleries selected
that it play in the same page – will put links on the page to take people back to the album page…. better than not working at all.
on the same options>gallery section selected both options that mentioned Slideshows. Have the JW_Image_Rotator but because of the spinning wheel – i have it turned off.
