Slideshow is just black (4 posts)

Using this shortcode, I just get a black rectangle where the gallery should be: [slideshow id=x w=width h=height]

Using [nggallery id=x], with the same ID, I am able to see the images. I don't see anyone else having this problem, but have searched forums and documentation to no avail.

I appreciate any help you can give! Thanks.

Probably not as simple as this, but did you check all of the Slideshow options? Are you using the JW Image Rotator by any chance?

Do you have a lot of other plugins installed? Maybe try deactivating them one by one and trying the slideshow again.

Very strange. Did you try without assigning the width and height as well?

Looks like it's using the JW Image Rotator. Is that bad?
I tried deactivating everything, even Akismet. No dice.
Tried it without h and w, too.

    Thank you!

did you install the JW plugin? or uncheck the box in the options?

Also maybe try the JJ NextGen gallery slider plugin...might get you what you need (adds onto the NextGen.

weird. Did all of the files install properly?
