[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] SlideShow blank & alignment issue

Hi there,

I’m new to WordPress so forgive me if some of this is simple. I have installed NextGEN Gallery and seem to have a problem in that if I press the sideshow icon, all that happens is a blank page. Almost like it cannot find the swf player. Has anyone got any ideas as to what might be wrong?

I have two other small issues.
1) If you look at my gallery link below, you will see that the wording doesn’t line up with the thumbnails. I’ve looked at other sites running NextGEN any they seem fine. How can I correct this?

2) when I click on a thumbnail in my gallery, it opens the JPG in the browser. I like how on others sites it sort of pops out when you click it and you click again to close. For instance if you go to my “random gallery” on my homepage, when you click these, they pop out. Here is the link:
