[resolved] [Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] pulldown in popup hangs (6 posts)

    I'm having some trouble with the pulldown menu in java pop-up's like inserting gallery or album or image from Nextgen in a post. Pulldown results in a hanging process.
    The same issue occurs in other places, like choosing an image while editing an album.

    This is what happens: http://www.vd-linden.nl/img/NG%20insert.png

    Hope for some solution or advice because it is also not possible to type the name of an Album or Gallery.

    Thank you

    I have this same issue with anything 1.9.0 or above. Have found no answer anywhere. Deactivating and installing 1.7.4 instead works, you will be prompted to rebuild the database and then it works. After that I think you can go back up to 1.8.4, but I don't bother.

    I wish there was a better answer for this issue, but it apparently isn't a very common issue and my queries have gone unanswered.

    I have disabled all other plugins and set to 2011 theme and it still fails the plugin test. Yet 1.7.4 works fine.

    Thanks cdkrall.
    That is solution which I will keep in mind while waiting (not too long) for a bugfix. :(

    Do you use some cache plugin ?

    Check :

    http://your.domain/?callback=json&method=version

    The output should be :

    <?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8' standalone='yes'?>
    <nextgen-gallery>
    <stat>ok</stat>
    <version>1.x.x</version>
    </nextgen-gallery>

    The should be not code/text before or after this output, I only knew that some cache plugin add to each and every output some text

    I'm using WP Super Cache.
    Doing nothing results in an error (XML not allowed in line 1... etc.), but after deactivating Super Cache I get this:

    <nextgen-gallery>
    <stat>ok</stat>
    <version>1.9.2</version>
    </nextgen-gallery>

    (First line is missing.)
    And indeed, it works as usual. Now I can insert images and galleries.

    After this I reactivated Super Cache again. Caching is On and the output stays the same AND NextGen still works fine.

    Thanks, although I don't understand what's going on here.

    Problem came back. But after deactivating / reactivating Caching it's alright again. Issue with a workaround...
    I will close this post. :(
