Possible to create links to navigate between galleries that are within an (5 posts)

    Hi,
    I have a number of galleries contained within a number of albums.

    There is an album view for each album, then a gallery view.

    Once within a gallery, is there any way to create some sort of previous/next gallery links so that one can also go through the other galleries within the same album?

    Any help greatly appreciated, even in the form of an SQL query.

    It looks like each album has the sortorder field, for example:

    a:5:{i:0;s:1:"1";i:1;s:1:"2";i:2;s:1:"6";i:3;s:1:"7";i:4;s:1:"8";}

    So I assume there needs to be some kind of reverse query to see which album a gallery is in, then find which is the gallery before and after it, I just don't quite know how to parse that mysql?

    Or better yet does a function already exist for this?

    Many thanks.

    Bump.

    No one has any ideas how to create links that can navigate between galleries within the album?

    I'm a little surprised no one else has encountered this issue. I'm working on my own functions to make this happen but it's tedious. If anyone has any ideas or if this functionality even exists somehow already within nextgen it would really save a lot of needless work.

    Thanks a lot.

    I've been wondering this myself. I'd love to have this functionality as it would be nice to be able to scroll through galleries within an album without having to go back to the main album. So far I have not found or come up with any clean solution...

    Anyone else?

    going to bump this again... maybe it just doesn't happen at all, eh? Has no one else thought of this?
