   I would like the pop ups to display at the full upload size, but I can not seem to find any settings for this. All images are uploaded at 600px wide with height varying depending upon the file...I do not want NextGEN (or Shutter, whichever is the problem child) shrinking my images.

   Options > Images > Resize Images is blank

   What is the shortcode to specify thumbnail count per post/page?

   as the ratio must be maintained the nexgen is asking u to specify the image size....as you are going to insert images of wide 600PX mention that in the field(Options > Images > Resize Images ) instead of keeping it blank.
   Just give a try!!!

   If the image size is more than 2016 x 1512 PX the sever will no accept.

   Thank you for the response, but that does not fix it. The images are still being shrunk.

   This site, while not using NextGEN is capable of having scrolling popups...
