   2 Part question.

   1. Upon resizing the images after upload is it possible to keep the original image/size? If so how is this possible?

   2. If I check the "Creates a backup for inserted images" box, this would take care of problem #1 above. However the file looks like this...

   camtest1-042.jpg_backup

   Would prefer it re-titles the back up to something like this...

   camtest1-042_original.jpg

   This would allow one to have a DIRECT link to the original file if needed (which in my case I do need). I want my images to display 1200x800 size, but need by bigger size for a direct link for purchasing download purposes.

   Hope this makes sense. ANY HELP? Great plugin by the way.

   Hello,
   Same problm for me.
   have you found a solution ?

   On my instalation when i upload photoxxx.jpg :

   - original image renamed with suffix _backup (HQ image) ex : photoxxx.jpg_backup

   - resized image keep orignal name of the picture ex : photoxxx.jpg

   - for thumbs, image renamed with prefix thumbs ex : thumbs_photoxxx.jpg

   Not sure why NextGen gallery is renaming the file with a ".jpg_backup" extension which is not a valid image file extension but I have posted a solution that should work. Check it out here:
