[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] One album per user logic, allow download

I have an intranet with 9 users, not visible to the public. I need the following for logged in users:
– Each user has an album or gallery page (not sure yet which is the correct structure)
– I set that page with its relevant shortcode and the user doesn’t have to do anything else, future albums/galleries from/for that user will appear there
– Each user cannot add to another user’s albums/galleries but can view all and download all
– How do I structure the albums/galleries/pages?
– I want the user’s page to have a list of the albums/galleries (let’s use the examples of a person’s name, then their photos from each trip they take, so: Erika – Greece summer 2012, China April 2012, etc.
– I want all images to be downloadable one by one and preferably the album/gallery to be downloadable as a set
– I want the viewer to be able to click on the gallery and be able to open it as an image list and/or a slideshow
– Again, I can’t expect these users to understand or use shortcodes so I need to do it once, for them, then they will upload their images
– How can I integrate the occasional video into this? Users may occasionally have videos from those trips to add.
– I have installed capability manager and can control their user level but I just don’t know the best way to structure all this
– All of this does not need to have any SEO value, only useability as it is an intranet
– I would very much prefer that they be able to do this from the front end, so they upload a series of images and that automatically makes a new folder/gallery
– I suppose the best way to describe all of this is that I’d like it to work similar to Google Picasa or other third-party gallery options
– Ideally, I’d like to be able to create a way to share the link to the certain gallery for external users with no permissions, again the way Picassa or YouTube would handle unlisted albums, though I’m not certain how that would work with my locked down site. This is in case anyone wishes to share a very specific set of photos with an outside party. Any thoughts?
