  • I am using [nggtags gallery=tag] and while some tags work fine – others do not work at all.

    Example:
    [nggtags gallery=tag1] = works.
[nggtags gallery=tag2] = doe not work.

I looked in the Gallery Admin > Tags and for tag1 there were 13 photos tagged (same case, spelling, etc), and for tag2 there were 17 photos tagged- but when I use [nggtags gallery=tag2] – nothing shows up.

Any idea why some would work and others do not?

  • Does “tag2” have any spaces in the name? If so, you need to go to the Tags page within your admin panel and select the tag, then under “Slug(s) to set:” replace any spaces with a hyphen. For example:

The tag is “cakes and muffins”, which is fine. But the slug needs to be changed to “cakes-and-muffins” for the tag album selection to work. You also need to include the hyphens in your code, e.g. [nggtags gallery=cakes-and-muffins]

I wish it was something easy like a space, but the tag in question is actually “cakes”. I have literally copied and pasted the tag from the next-gen admin and looked in the database to make sure there were not any mysterious spaces/etc. It seems to be completely random with tags and it happens if I try that tag or even rename it.
