• I have set up a multilinugal blog with qTranslate 2.5.9. After I activate qTranslate, NextGen 1.6.1 doesn’t get the language like configured.
The whole Administration panel is in german except the ngg Options. As every other plugin works correctly I guess that maybe NextGen doesn’t get the language configuration. If I change the language in the configuration file or via the interface, ngg shows always english even german is set.

Where can I set the language for ngg manualy (php code)?
    Is there any workaround?

    Thank you

The Bug is in qTranslate language detection, not in nextGen: qtrans_localeForCurrentLanguage($locale) in the file qtranslate_hooks.php doesnt’t deliver the right local within the whole admin area because $q_config isn’t set. I don’t know the reason but giving back my default language if $q_config isn’t set works.

    Hello xsol!

Thx for sharing your finding the bug.
So how to fix the language issue for the backend?
How to set $q_config if necessary?

    thx,
    piedro

I have the same problem, although I don’t really care about the admin panel language. It would be nice to be able to translate at least the ‘photos’ and ‘show as slideshow’ on the album and gallery pages though, so if anyone knows how to fix the issue I’d like to hear it too.
