   I saw this thread, but they stopped when someone suggested using fancybox. the issue wasn't resolved. we want lightbox AJAX pagination.
   can anyone help with that?

   I am also looking for the solution to this. I have been playing with code all evening to try to hack it together, but the hard part is reloading lightbox (or prettyphoto) after the AJAX refreshes. You can trick nextgen into using the AJAX pagination if you choose 'shutter' as the effect but put custom code in its place.
