[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Nextgen Gallery uses separate tags from regular posts? (3 posts)

I notice that the NextGen plugin creates it's image tags separately from where WordPress creates it's tags for posts.

I'm trying to understand why this would be the desired behavior? I'd like to have my posts and images use the same set of tags. How can I do this?

For example, if I tag a post with the tag "Race Car", and upload an image using NextGen, and that image also has the tag "Race Car", I now have two separate tags!

I'd like to display my tags in a tag cloud, and if the user clicks "Race Car", is should show both the post, and the gallery image. I can't see how to get this to work.

As it is now, I have to have two separate tag clouds, one for posts, and one for gallery images. This dosen't make any sense to me.

Is there some way to merge the tags, or something? I must be missing something obvious - please help!

I love NextGen, but this may be a deal breaker for me...

    Cardcomm-
I've been searching and searching for an answer to how to created a tag cloud for tags in NextGen Gallerys images I've uploaded and tagged. I would think what you want to do would be a standard feature in tagged image + post. For what I do, i just need the tags to load all images with the same tag into a page or on the same page. (I'm a photographer)

To use WP's tag's is worthless to me. Any help you can add as to how to create a tag cloud from nextgen's image tags?

Thank you for your time and consideration

Can anyone tell me why I have two tag clouds appearing and how I reduce it to just one? They are the same tag clouds but in just two different places. You can see it here at the bottom of the page.
