When I click on an image it only opens in a browser window and does not pop up in the gallery view to browse through all images in this gallery.

I also get an error message when I activate Lightbox Plus:
"Cannot access protected property simple_html_dom::$doc in /wp-content/plugins/lightbox-plus/classes/shd.class.php" since some server work was done.

I reinstalled both plugins (newest version), I even restored the whole website, but be not able to open the gallery browse view. Any idea what I could do?

Maybe in your ngg-options the efect "shutter" (or something else) is not set?

Thanks bhenselmann, I switched to shutter and don't use Lightbox Plus anymore ... and the gallery is working again.

I havenĀ“t tried Lightbox Plus, but Lightbox Gallery should work - and looks better than the "shutter". You simply install the Lightbox Gallery Plugin and mark on the options-page "Enforce loading the lightbox gallery scripts: The lightbox gallery scripts are loaded in every page"

I will check out the Lightbox Gallery plugin on a test site.

I'm using NextGen gallery and its great image management. I added the Lightbox Plus to enhance some effects until for whatever reason the php error appeared. It could have been related to server work.

However without having the Lightbox Plus plugin the site gained on speed.

You can use NextGen Gallery together with Lightbox Gallery.
Lightbox Gallery is something like Lightbox Plus or shutter - not an image management or sth. else.

I will play with those options. I tried different slideshow-, slider- and gallery plugins, Flash and JavaScript, to have a gallery and home page slideshow on one site. There have been conflicts between them as well using jQuery or Mootools. I realized less is more and works.
