[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Need to improve permission checking during adding images (5 posts)

When one try to add images to an existing gallery that was created by someone else, the plug-in will give you an error. That is a great feature since I have multiple authors on the blog and I do not want folks to add images to other authors' galleries (prob by accident). However, the error given was not at the beginning of the image upload process. Thus, blank thumbnails created in the targeted gallery.

Are we planning to change this in the coming releases? In the meantime, does anyone know a work around (possibly by changing the source code downloaded) to put permission checking at the beginning of the upload process?

    Thanks.

    Thanks for the note,

this fix should avoid a upload into a gallery without permission :

Hi Alex, I updated my code with the fix you showed. It worked. I can proudly announce to my readers/authors that the gallery function is available to them all now. Great work!!!

One more thing Alex, is there a way to filter out the galleries that a user can not manage when he/she clicks the "Manage Gallery" link?

    Thanks,

I found the code, when managing galleries, where I can change not to display the info of the galleries that a user cannot manage. However, the function find_all_galleries is used so now i still have paginated galley list with empty rows that indicate the galleries that particular user cannot manage. What shall I do?
