I'm new to using nextgen gallery, and wanting to enhance some of my photos on display. Currently, have been using WP gallery, and I would like to do sometihing visually similar using nextgen

Would this simply be a styling issue? Also, if I have used lightbox; will that still work with nextgen?

    Thanks!

You can use Nextgen's caption template and size your thumbs to match what you have now. Have a read thru this topic on the caption template.

    Thanks that worked!

Now.... unfortunately, getting the thumbnail out of memory error....
Well documented; just have to figure out which solution works best!

    Thank you

Artbiz, just checked out that link, had a basic question regarding the captions template.

Is this actually a Nextgen "style" that has to be applied? or just the shortcode?

    Thanks again!

It is just a shortcode [nggallery id=x template=caption]

Although you can edit the nggallery.css file to your liking, but copy it to your theme file so you don't lose any changes on an update of the plugin.

Ok, just played around with adding a nggallery to my theme folder on the server... copying all php files from the plugin "view" folder, and it seems to work!

I have the nextgen gallery on top, and the standard gallery below. Will need to work on styling some more; but I think this is going to work nicely!
