I upgraded to NextGen Gallery 1.4 and my slide show header shows up but the slideshow has disappeared completely.

Looks like we may be having a similar issue:

In NextGen Gallery 1.3.6, I was able to call nggSlideshowWidget in my Header.php and have my header slideshow work, after the upgrade to NextGen Gallery 1.4.0, the slideshow does not function.

The code in my Header.php that calls the NextGen Gallery slideshow:

    <?php if (function_exists("nggSlideshowWidget")) if (get_media_header_url()=="None") { nggSlideshowWidget(27,950,200); } else {show_media_header();} ?>

What changed between 1.3.6 and 1.4.0 to break calling the nggSlideshowWidget from the header?

What do I need to do to fix this?

Would like to keep using nggSlideshowWidget.

    Thanks

    Doug

Hmm, I have this problem as well, but unfortunately I'm not cool enough to know how to apply the code link that Alex posted.

if anyone could explain how & where to apply the code fix, i would really appreciate it.

otherwise, i will wait patiently until the next version of NGG is released ;)

    thanks,
    Julia

This also happened to my site. I have had this up for awhile and have no clue to what happened?

All my imagerotator files are in place and in the right folders.

Even tried uninstalling and reinstalling nex gen and imagerotator.

It's just black and I get a spinning flash symbol. I am at a loss and really like the slide show but have no clue on how to fix this?

    my website is http://www.petdaddy.com

I am hoping for an easy fix or any easy suggestions?

    thanks

Yes Alex can you provide instructions on how to apply the code?

    Thanks

Is there a version newer than 1.4.1? My website (http://www.jmek.net/bchan/) has an upgrade notice when I click on any of the Gallery links in the admin sidebar:

The script detect that you upgrade from a older version. Your database tables for NextGEN Gallery is out-of-date, and must be upgraded before you can continue. If you would like to downgrade later, please make first a complete backup of your database and the images.

The upgrade process may take a while, so please be patient.
    Start upgrade now...

However, there's no upgrade notice under the Plugins section of the admin page, and the URL that "Start upgrade now..." links to is a permutation of my own site URL. Is this a real upgrade or have I been hacked?
