• Please could someone help me regain my sanity.

    I have loaded NextGEN on a wp blog and all works well.
    I am now trying to install it on another blog (different domain) and all I get in the Gallery menu on the left is Roles, reset/uninstal

    I am using the latest version NextGen
    I am using the latest version Wp
    I am using the same Template on both (Suffusion)
    I have unistalled and reinstalled it twice.

    I may have done something wrong or their maybe a conflict with some other plug in. I have tried deactivating the other plugins but it has not made any difference

    I have searched and read every possible topic I can find, and only found one that had this exact issue with no answer. I posted on this forum before and no response. Now I am getting desperate

    I have spent many hours looking and now I stand with a begging bowl, please could someone throw some light on this.
    Thanks Chris

    I get the same problem.

    I think I find the problem.
    It’s some setting with a role control maybe a plugin called Advanced Access Manager.
    If you have the same plugin to me.You can update it to the last version.

    Yip you said it, I tried deactivating all my other plugins did not work, deleted fully and reloaded still nothing, I gave up and used another program completely, which worked first time and does exactly what I want. Have not been able to get any help here

    It sounds like plugin conflict probleam or other plugin that has the control over the user roles.

    Try installing it on a fresh WordPress Installation without any other plugins.
    if it goes well than start adding the other plugins one by one.

    Ps. If you wanna install any plugin that takes over the user role control always do that last. meaning that you should install all other plugins first and than the role controller.

    Thanks Ayman yes it works fine on other installations as I have used it before and since, but that particular site it would not work.
    The problem is that I didn’t want to un-install the other plugins as the site is live and everything is working fine, did not want to mess too much, which is why I went and got something else.
    I did disable them to check to see if there was conflict but it did not make any difference.

    @chakarinet
    Which plugins are you using?

    @ayman
    Contact form 7
    Page Links To
    cincopa (which is what I used for gallery when next gen would not work)
    Really simple Facebook Twitter share buttons
    Search & Replace
    Simple Popup Plugin
    SwfObj (Which I used before to embed the original rotating flash images)
    vSlider (The new one I added to do rotating images)
    WP-Table Reloaded

    The site is http://www.bainesrivercamp.com – I have rotating images at the top of every page which I did originally in flash a couple of years ago, but with iPad they would not show, so I had to make an alternative

    Advanced Access Manager and NextGEN Gallery – conflict.
    use adminimize plugin with NextGEN Gallery it si work.
    Good luck!
