Upon clicking a thumbnail, my images are loading very slowly.
I've tried modifying the image quality and size, but it seems to have no effect.
Also, the image size parameters seem not to work. The images automatically resize depending on my browser size. See an example below.

Any help is most appreciated.
Ahem, you uploaded 6 Mega Pixel images , thats a 2.5 MB file... That should be slow if you are not sitting beside the server. Please use smaller images.
If you would like to lower them with NextGEN you must go to "manage gallery" and select the images to resize as bulk edit

That makes sense. I assumed that they were resized automatically on upload.

Is there any way to set up NG Gallery to automatically resize the images on upload?

If I go to resize more than 10 or so pics at a time it times out on me.
Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /home/.pepie/cpalmisano/thepalmisanos.com/site/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/lib/thumbnail.inc.php on line 215
Any way to remedy this?
Yep, this could happend, because your large images requires a lot of memory and a lot of time to process... You can increase this execution time or better resize them on your PC and upload them again.

Truthfully, I'm a bit surprised this app doesn't support resizing on upload. Every img gallery app I've used previously supports this.
Who wants to resize all their imgs before upload?
Good question, maybe the author has someting in his mind or is silly (maybe a low script execution time of 30 seconds could causes problems...)
