This issue has been happening on this site for far longer than just this version of wordpress... mostly I thought it was just something I had to live with, but it doesn't happen on any of my other galleries on my other wordpress blogs, just this one... and also it doesn't seem to matter sometimes the length of descriptive text being used it seems to happen entirely at random...
Please see this image: http://www.eastpath.net/img.jpg for an example of the problem. I'm not sure why this happens, but it seems to be a layout issue...? But sometimes it even drives the image count and Prev Next navigation entirely off the white background so it is very difficult to locate...
Please let me know if there is anything I can do to fix this issue :)

Sounds like a CSS conflict issue, please post a url to the page that contains an image with this issue. I'll have a look.

http://www.steelweaver.com/wp/?page_id=193 for sure. Also in the "Art" gallery as well. There seems to be at least one or two images that have this problem in all galleries but these are good examples. Thanks for looking. :)
Also if it helps I'm on a Mac with the latest OS and using the most recent version of Safari.
I've been informed this is happening in others browsers too however. Thanks again :)

If you add height: 550px; to that it seems to help.
Now, I'm not advocating that you edit this file directly because it will get overwritten the next time you upgrade WP.
NexGen makes use of this file I believe, but I also think you can choose to use Thickbox or not within the NextGen settings. try playing with those settings.
Not a solution, but one more clue at least;)

Interesting. :) I tried switching to some of the other options, like lightbox, but then it wouldn't work at all and simply loaded the image directly in the browser window with no effects at all. Must be somewhere in the CSS for sure. Thanks again :)

Your nextgen gallary is working fine, i have checked it is showing u full size image. u can check ur image size by the following url:
