   Is it possible to add like 5 latest images uploaded with thumbs to my sidebar?

   MadsK,
   If what you want is to show 5 thumbnails of your recently uploaded photos using NextGen Gallery, you can do this with the NextGen Widget
   YourBlogAddress/wp-admin/widgets.php
