[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Installing Older Version–How, and Will It Cause Problems?

    I’ve posted twice this past 2 weeks but haven’t gotten any input on my thumbnail issue–i.e. thumbnails don’t appear, haven’t found any solutions in other posts with a similar issue. When I try to run the plugin check, all I get is a circular icon that spins and spins and never stops spinning.

    At this point I’m desperate, as I’ve got over 450 images in my galleries. I think I’m going to have to revert to an older version of NexGen, probably pre-1.7, since this problem hasn’t cropped up till recently.

    How do I go about installing an older version of NexGen? And, will I have any problems with my image gallery if I do?
