[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] IE8 running circle problem

    We have a slideshow on the front page of the site, and it’s working perfectly in every other browser except IE8. Even there it loads fine when first entering the front page, but after navigating to the other pages, on return to the front page only the running circle appear. If the page is refreshed, the slideshow appears again. The same happens it the language is switched while on the front page. Like said, no problems whatsoever on other browsers I’ve tested (Opera, FF and Safari, yet to test with Chrome).
    Any ideas as to what might be the problem would be greatly appreciated!

    Just tested your page with IE9 beta in all modes (IE7,IE8,IE9) and it works fine. Anything changed ?

    Thanks for letting me know! No, haven’t changed anything, maybe it’s a settings issue then. Hopefully others see it ok as well – personally I dislike IE immensely as a browser and wouldn’t give a hoot if something works on IE or not, it’s just that quite a few people use it and obviously things should work.
    It’s not a major issue anyway as everything works fine when entering the site – as I said, it only happens after switching the language and on returning to the front page after having navigated away. And maybe it is some setting, I guess I better take a look at the settings next… 🙂

    I have exactly the same problem. The slideshow works fine on each browsers exept on IE7 and IE8.

    I found a solution : if I use JW Image Rotator for the slideshow, it works fine even if on IE…

    Thanks for the comments. The slideshow on your site doesn’t seem to work on Opera though… Although if it is a choice between the two, I guess one would have to go for IE, Opera being a rather marginal browser after all. I just wonder what it is that’s causing this.
