[resolved] HTTP error on upload (17 posts)

    Hi Alex,

I've installed in both my dev and production environment. In dev, the Flash uploader works fine. In production, I'm getting this error:

    As I upload:

Error HTTP Error Photo on 2010-08-12 at 13.16.jpg:302

    Directory /var/www/vhosts/reesefelts.org/httpdocs/wp-content/blogs.dir/2/files/testgallery contains no pictures

I have tested the single upload, and that works fine as well.

It's just Flash uploader having issue. Could it be a php.ini memory issue? I am on two different servers, our dev is run by the University and production is on MediaTemple. I'm thinking it's MediaTemple and that I have to change the php memory or max upload or something.

UPDATE: I increased the php_memory to 96M and also checked the max upload, and I am still getting this error.

    Alex:

Here is the row from my error log:

[Wed Oct 27 14:01:46 2010] [error] [client 152.2.213.103] Request exceeded the limit of 10 internal redirects due to probable configuration error. Use 'LimitInternalRecursion' to increase the limit if necessary. Use 'LogLevel debug' to get a backtrace., referer: http://reesenews.org/wp-admin/post.php?post=416&action=edit

    Hey Alex:

Just another followup. I'm running php 5.2.6 and not php 5.3. I also set my Apache conf directive to

    AllowOverride All

for htaccess..thinking that might be the issue.

But still not working properly. Getting the HTTP error.

    Hey Alex:

Still having issues with the HTTP error. Do you think it's the php version? Please advise. Thanks.

The core NON FLASH uploader works, the CORE FLASH uploader is getting the error.

    Nothing works.

    I tried everything suggested.

I added the first woman's code to the .htaccess. That didn't work.

I added the code to the next-gen/admin folder, that didn't work.

And, I tried the last trick to turn off mod_security and that didn't work either.

By the way, the Flash uploader works on Blog ID 1, but not on Blog ID 2, so it does work, just not on the multi site function.

I found this directive too, but it's still not working:

    Just another question.

Remember, on my dev server, I'm running php 5.3. On my production server hosted at MediaTemple, we're running 5.2.6. Wondering if that could be the issues?

Okay, so I found the issue.

If your site URL is set to "www" in Sites - Edit - Blog ID X, then the server is going to throw a redirect, because it's stripping out "www".

Site URL must be set to "domain.com" and not "www.domain.com".

tonyzeoli, I don't understand where you are seeing this "Sites - Edit - Blog ID X" at? Are you talking about the the Site URL on the Settings -> General page?

In the 3.0.5 WordPress Super Admin, there was a text link for "Sites", which would then show you all sites in your network. If you then performed a rollover action on any one of your network sites, you would see the text link "Edit," which would allow you to edit that specific site instance. When I say Blog ID X, I mean the ID of the site listed next to it's name.

I'm sorry you feel that way. I have used NextGen for many years now and I find the plugin to be one of the best gallery tools out there. And, I know that Alex has always responded as best he can to issues. Sometimes, it's your host that has the issue and not NexGen Gallery.
