How to allow viewers to sort via tags in drop down menu? (4 posts)

My client is switching from a godaddy.com instant site to WP. On her current site she has a gallery that has a drop down list of tags that a visitor can sort images to show just those images with those tags. Tags such as "portrait," "narrative," "awards," etc.

See here at the bottom of the page: http://www.janenepratt.com/

I am using NextGEN gallery as a plugin and I would like to build the same functionality.

I've loaded tags into each image on my dev site. I've also tweaked the code to show the title and description under the enlarged image.

Is there an extension plugin I need? Thank you for any help!

Did you get anywhere with this? I want something exactly the same.

Hey tangy media - I abandoned the drop down menu sorting and set up my client's blog as a custom post type where she could pull content via tags. Actually I did a youtube tutorial on it over on my channel--sorry the audio is low on it, just crank your volume: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ujjtZDbQT0Y&feature=plcp

    Good luck!

The NextGen Gallery Powertags plugin will allow visiters to choose to see only images with certain tags. HTH
