I have gone over all the short codes for the gallery and none of them work. the only thing I can do is [nggallery id=x] where x is the number of the gallery to display. There are no templates, where do I get those? I can’t seem to display the gallery in any other way.The codes on the example site don’t work

  • Hi,
first put a copy of nggallery.css into the folder of the theme you are using, then take a look here http://nextgen.boelinger.com/templates/
There are no themes provided other than those found in the ngg plugins “view” subdir you can alter them and put them as described in the link mentioned above.

    Hi,

    http://www.webdesignerwall.com/tutorials/css-decorative-gallery/
(you have to adapt into new template changing gallery php)

    bee,

That doesn’t help or answer the question asked by Softdux! There is no ‘download template’ at that URL only the demo. Softdux asked where s/he can download the template. There seems to be no way to figure this out, I’ve searched everywhere, too!

Where can we download those templates?

For the templates just take a look at the first link given (http://nextgen.boelinger.com/templates/). It’s all explained there.

How do I change the order of the pictures in the gallery? Also is there a way to put more than 1 picture per page?

Did anyone ever figure this out?

Do we still need templates in version 1.4?

All i want to to is place a caption below the thumbnails, but i can’t find any decent instructions on how to achieve this.

The link above shows a great example (cation) but no where ACTUALLY give the template or fully explains where to implement it!

I am happy to dig around in the CSS of any of the supplied styles but i can’t do the php to sort out the caption.

    many thanks in advance

    Hi

Just downloaded and my images are not displaying in either slideshow or gallery widgets? The slideshow perpetually spins and the gallery shows image number but no image?

    thanks for any help

    Hi Again,

Actually i uploaded the imagerotator.swf to upload folder and when I deleted it the slideshow is gone. Do I need this for slideshow widget? If so does it support jpg? As it was not showing images just spinning loader.

    To Slayaz

Go to “nextgen-gallery” directory > “View” and open file gallery.php

Go to line 46 and right after the closing A tag, add the following, before the closing div tag

    <?php echo $image->alttext ?>

do this and please let me know if it worked.
