Hi there,
I'm someone new to the blogging one but I do have a long-time experience with WordPress.com.I started off with a small website there...and now I have my own-hosted blog.Thing is when I followed all steps and installed the NextGen Gallery...everything went smooth. But when I try to "Add Gallery" after putting in the name, the text box goes blank after hitting Enter. When I go to Manage Galleries, there is no gallery that I can select, but when I check the ftp manager,I can see that a directory is created under /wp-content/gallery/(gallery name) .I tried uploading images to this directory, but still doesn't work. Please help me guys!!!

Guys....I really help this....some1 please help me out here!!! I doubt any is even seeing this!
Did you try chmod 777 on /nextgen-gallery folder?
Some servers require this but chmod 755 works on most hosts.
Emm....I done get you...where is this chmod 777 present? and if so,what do i do with the file?
Alright....I got it....I changed the permissions to 775....should work now...thanks!!!
Use FTP program such as FileZilla and connect to your hosting account with it. Then go to /wp-content/gallery folder and right click on it. Select: File Atributtes... and in the window that opens set numeric value to 755.
Try if that helped.
