Hello, I'm actually using wordpress 2.8.2 and the latest update of this plugin. It seems that the flash uploader won't upload any images. It says 0 files uploaded successfully. I checked my permissions on my folders and they were fine, so I tried the non-flash uploader and that worked fine.
Seems like it'd be a quick fix to me, but I don't know where to start. Any ideas?

Do you get any error message during the upload ?

nope, what happens is it flashes a login screen really quickly, right where the upload form is and then goes back to the normal upload form and says this:
0 picture(s) successfully added
but when I switch to, disable flash upload, then it works fine. I don't know if something changed with the latest update with NextGEN and it having some compatibility issues with WordPress 2.8.2 That's the only thing I can think of.

File permissions are correct but any user other than admin cannot use flash upload.

Its not a huge deal, just seems like it would be a quick fix and I like using the flash uploader. I think I might just downgrade back to wordpress 2.8 and see if that does it.

Hi.. I have the exact same problem as you guys...
When i disable the “flash uploader” it works fine…
My problem is that in a WPMU environment where there are hundreds of blogs it’s not a very good solution.
Users will get confused and may not understand that they could try the alternative solution…
Is there any fix for this perhaps?
Why on earth does no one have an answer for this?!
I find this error all over the web and no-one can give answers...
Very frustrating...

I tried disabling the flash uploader and still couldn't get it to work the old school way. I had wordpress 2.8 but upgraded to 3.0 to see if that would fix it and it didn't.
not cool.
extremely frustrating!

I'm having the same problem. I also upgraded to 3.0 hoping that would fix it, but it did not. Disabling the flash uploaded also didn't work.
The only way I can add photos is to upload them via FTP. Not ideal.

We have the same problem.
We also upgraded from 2.9.2 to 3.0, but it didn't help.
Disabling the flash upload works fine, but then it is only possible to upload one picture at the time. If you have 1000's of pictures it is not an ideal situation. In our system we have around 100 wp sites, so being able to upload multiple pictures at the same time is really a good thing.
I tried this solution: http://lud.icro.us/wordpress-plugin-image-upload-http-error-fix/
But that didn't help either. Any idea what can be done?

I had this very same problem. It turned out that I was uploading the file over SSL (HTTPS). Once I switched to regular plaintext (HTTP), the flash upload started working again. Hope that helps.

Same sh*t, flash uploader doesn't work.
No errors or warnings, flashes few times, upload finishes succesfully with 100% and as a result: "0 picture(s) successfully added"
And Server Error 500 after upgrade:

The truth is - no support for this plugin is provided.
update: whilst build in wp flash uploader works fine.
