[resolved] File permissions wrong on originals but not thumbs (3 posts)

    The images I upload gets uploaded into subfolders like:
    wp-content/gallery/[galleryname]/

    The thumbs go into:
    wp-content/gallery/[galleryname]/thumbs/

    Problem is that I cannot view the original images. I cannot even open them when logged into the server. This is because the file permissions aren't set correctly.

    The thumbs however show without problems. All directories have the correct permissions. It is only the original image files that fail.

    I found a description of an almost identical issue from 2 years back, only that this guy was using the unzipper. I am using regular flash upload:

    Turns out this was not a NextGEN error, but a general error that have been common for WordPress installations running on IIS7.

    The error is caused by insufficient permissions on the temp dir that PHP uses, and so will occur for all applications running PHP on that server, not only WordPress.
