[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Do I have to install lightbox?

I have the Next Gen Plugin working with ‘Shutter’, but the Thickbox and Lightbox effect don’t work, did I need to install ‘lightbox’ aswell. Maybe a silly question, but I have used this plugin many times before never changed the ‘Effects’ from the standard and I’ve always had the flash looking loader and X to close, whats happens, is it the theme I’m using or something.

Please do take the time to help, as I keep asking similar questions and get no response.
