What is the best way to compress files when using NextGen? There is no automated compression as when uploading files directly - does it need to be done beforehand in Photoshop... . The slide show etc are very slow to load with pics uploaded directly ... .

I'm having this same issue. I found that you can go to "manage gallery" and click on the specific gallery, then check the images you want to compress, and then select "resize images" from the dropdown. This worked at first, but now I'm getting errors saying there isn't enough memory. Help?
