   I am unable to edit thumbnail images. When I open the screen for editing thumbnails, the existing image appears, but the cursor does not switch to the "cross-hairs" style. Thus I am unable to perform an edit.

   Can anyone show me how to fix this?

   Do you see a dialog with two pictures - one on the left on grey panel which is where the editing is done and one on the right where the edited preview is shown. If your problem is that you do not see a picture on the left and see only a picture on the right then I have some suggestions.
