   Hi!

   Thought my search for a great gallery plug came to an end, but not yet... ran into some severe probs with nggallery.

   Anything javascript or flash-dependent does not work for me.

   Slideshow gives the dreaded "you need the flashplayer..." stuff (and yes, the wp_head thingy is called in header.php, I tried the standard theme as well - same result).

   displaying the image list works, clicking an image does just open the image, no thickbox effect or any other.

   Uploading: no way to upload more than one image, the batch uploader just pretends not to be there... ;-)

   Can not see anything special in my config, WP 2.51 on a standard linux box. Custom theme, but the probs are there with standard Kubrick as well...

   On client side I tried Firefox and Opera, both on Mac and Windows, all with latest flashplayer installed and JS enabled...

   I am at a complete loss... any ideas?

   returns a server error 500

   thanks Alex for the quick help!! could have thought of that myself, *lol*
   some other plugin placed a .htaccess in the plugins dir that was supposed to prevent directory listings, but obviously killed a few more things...

   looks like removing it has solved the probs.
