   My goal: I would like to specify how long the images in my slideshow appear.

   I am using the NexGEN Gallery combined with the JW Player imagerotator.swf to create my slideshow through a shortcode: [slideshow id=3]. Through looking at possible NexGEN settings, I noticed that shortcodes can be used to adjust some settings, but didn't see anything to adjust how long an image will appear. Is this possible? If so, how do I accomplish it?

   I would like to know this as well. I'm surprised no one has answered this VERY simple task (it would seem).

   I believe that's handled in the backend:
   Gallery > Options > Slideshow > Duration time

   Correct this is used for the JW Player and the JS slideshow
