   Hi Shaun,

   Awesome plugin (for an awesome plugin)!

   I was wondering if you might possibly add a feature to restrict custom fields to certain galleries.

   ...Something like this:

   Image Custom Fields (Add custom fields to be added to images inside NextGEN Galleries)
   Display Name:
   Field Type:
   *** Use in these galleries: [All galleries or select from current galleries]

   Gallery Custom Fields (Add custom fields to be added to NextGEN Galleries)
   Display Name:
   Field Type:
   *** Use in these galleries: [All galleries or select from current galleries]

   Currently, the custom fields show up everywhere, and I think it would be quite nice to have the option to limit the fields to certain galleries.

   What do you think?

   I have had a request like this before. I vaguely remember there being a limitation from NextGEN that would always show all fields on the manage gallery screen.
   It is a great idea, and I would like to make it happen. I am a little tied up right now, but I will re-look at this when I get a chance. Maybe there's a way around it with some sneaky javascript or something :)

   Thanks for the feedback, it's always great to here from people using my work!

   I have started on this feature. You can download the latest development version from http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/nextgen-gallery-custom-fields/download/ by clicking on the 'development version' link.

   Please be sure to run the upgrade URL, to rebuild the database and run some clean-up tasks (http://www.example.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=nextgen-gallery-custom-fields/ngg-custom-fields.php&mode=upgrade)

   The new feature available is the ability to link fields to only certain galleries. The interface should be easy enough to understand.

   There are still things I am working on (hence it still being development).

   Let me know if you have any troubles / feedback!

   What a great surprise! I've been testing the new development version out and I'm very happy with it. It does exactly what I needed. I'll keep you posted on everything.

   Glad you like it :)

   I did mess up my some version details when I uploaded the code yesterday, so you might want to download the latest version, 0.6.

   When you unlink a field from a gallery, the plugin will now also delete any data saved for that field, in that gallery.

   I think I'm pretty much done with this feature now, unless you have any other suggestions, or come across any bugs.

   Hey Shaun,

   I went ahead and updated from the dev version to 0.6. I've tested it out, and so far so good. I'll let you know if I run into any bugs or anything. (Seems good to me though!) Feature-wise - it's exactly what I was after.
