New User Approve
Ignoring Set Password (6 posts)

    I'm using the User Registration mod from Gravity Forms to allow people to register.

    On that form it's asking for the user to set a password, which gets set correctly without any issue.

    However, when the user gets approved through the plugin, it overwrites their saved password with the auto-generated one and emails them that.

    Is there a way I can turn off that feature and let the password they've set stay in place?

    I used this yesterday, add to functions.php:

    function ignore_new_user_autopass() {
    	return true;
    }

    add_filter( 'new_user_approve_bypass_password_reset', 'ignore_new_user_autopass' );

    May not be 100% correct but it worked!
