Network Privacy
Public redirect message for blog - possible? (4 posts)

    Hello,

I just installed Network Privacy on my blog and made the latter visible only to admins. I would like for people accessing my URL to see a message written by me (something like: "temporarily offline as I improve"), with perhaps a link to another site. Is this possible?

As of now, this is what everyone sees when accessing kamoweb.org: http://www.kamoweb.org/wp-login.php?redirect_to=%2F

    Thanks for any info/suggestions.

    Katherine

The redirect to log in is the only option in network privacy. You could use a launchpad or similar plugin for what you describe.

Thank you for the info and the suggestion. Launchpad is http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/launchpad-by-obox/, I imagine?

Checked it out, but I think I'll need to find another plugin, since I just want to be offline for maintenance, not for a launch.

There are lots of variations of that both as plugins and themes.
