My Shortcodes
[resolved] '403 Forbidden' issue when clicking shortcode button (6 posts)

    Hi,

Small problem with the plugin which I am guessing is probably something to do with permissions, but I can't find any documentation confirming what these need to be, so here goes:

The plugin seems to work fine except that when I click on the "My Shortcodes Builder" button within a post, the box that pops up is blank except for a 403 Forbidden message.

Any thoughts or suggestions please? I have the latest version 1.7 of the plugin. My website is here:

    Thanks, James

    Hi James,

It does sound like a permission problem, but I would like to take a look if possible.

Could you email me on david@digilab.co.za and we can chat more on how to solve the problem.

    ~David

Problem tracked down to the .htaccess security measures implemented by the BPS (Bullet Proof Security) plugin. Reverting to the default .htaccess file solves the problem.

Issue raised on BPS plugin support thread here:

Since i was not able to reproduce the problem in testing then obviously there is some other factor on your site that is different then my testing site. Try the standard WP testing method of deactivating all plugins except BPS and switching to one of the WP Default Theme's. Also please ensure that you have activated all BulletProof Modes - both Root and wp-admin BulletProof Modes must be activated together.
