Unless I misunderstand what you want, this is an option on the settings page.

What I would like is to have the color of the category in the background of a cell. Indeed, for now, all my events look the same in the mini calendar. The user have to click on a date to know in which category the event is.
The option on the settings page but it’s only when the user click on the date of mini calendar. Then, a little window opens and there is the color of the category.
Instead of the shortcode [my_calendar] on a page which displays the category’s color in the cell.

What you probably need to do, then, is re-design the main calendar view to show in a widget, instead of the mini calendar. The mini-calendar doesn’t display event information as part of the cell.

However, there’s a lot you could do with some re-working of styles and jQuery instructions, since all of the information is present. There’s no setting to provide this, however.

Thank you for your answer but how to show the main calendar in a widget?
I can’t see it in the widget section of the admin panel
Or, if I keep the mini-calendar as a widget, which file do I have to modify ?
