Hi all
Delighted after solving my previous issue with realloc's invaluable help. Now just want to check there is no way at all (without having a Ph.D. in web design) to continue my previous practice of changing the URL in the browser window (I used htaccess), now that I am using multisite? Surely there must be a solution?
Many thanks as usual in advance for all support
Best wishes from Warsaw

Can you give us some more informations? I'm not sure if I understand the problem.

Hi, many thanks for the reply.
Before switching to multisite, I used htaccess to 'change' (sorry for non-technical word) the URL so that the page visitor, instead of seeing http://www.graphene.nazwa.pl/wordpress, saw the web address they had typed, which is http://www.graphenepartners.com
I saw some forum posts which said that this changing via htaccess is not possible using multisite, but hopefully you are going to tell me there is no problem to use htaccess with your wonderful plugin...
Many thanks, best wishes

Are you looking for a Domain Mapper?

Probably :)
Just to be sure I have explained myself properly, the functionality I need is:
- the user types in e.g. http://www.graphenepartners.com
- this leads them to my existing WP multisite, where the site address ends in /wordpress or /wordpress/polish, depending on which language they are viewing.
- I would like the URL which the user sees in their browser window to be http://www.graphenepartners.com, irrespective of what the real web address actually is.
Will the plugin you mentioned do the trick?
Best wishes

ahhhh... doesn't work since WP installation is not in root directory :(
Hopefully I'm not going to find out that moving the entire functioning site to the root directory will be a major hassle...! Any advice?
Thanks again, best wishes

No, as you can imagine I'm just a user of this plugin. Maybe you should talk directly to the developer of the Domain Mapper Plugin.
Cheers,
Dennis.
