thank you for the wonderful job you did with this plugin.
It was working like a charm, but I had to disable one of the site for a while. And I disable your plugin too.
Then I turned everything on and something is not working.
I have 2 sites (Italian and English) and they are showing the US flag and the link to itself in the widget area.
I tried to modify "Settings > General" and save, but it's not working.

I tried to re-install the plugin. It's not working yet, but now I can't see the preset widget anymore. I tried to activate it from network and site by site.
You must set the language in Settings > General. You have all language files you need?
I set the language in Settings > General for every site (English and Italian). No widget yet. How to check for the language files? In wp-content/languages I have:
it_IT.mo
it_IT.po
ms-it_IT.mo
ms-it_IT.po
English files are supposed to be included already, ain't it?
Ok, and then you made the setup in Settings > Multisite Language Switcher for the two websites?
Next time when you want to disable a website temporary there you can find the right option without installing the plugin.
Yes. I found the same old settings there, even if I reinstalled the plugin.
OK, you see your blogs in the configuration of the plugin? So you need just the widget?
Yes, I miss the widget. And I need it to work properly!
I mean, that before it disappeared it wasn't working as in the italian page I had the us flag with link to italian page itself. And in english page I had us flag with link to english page itself.
OK, I got it.
Go to /wp-admin/widgets.php and place the widget in your sidebar (same procedure for the other blog). A widget is something additional that must be activated by the user (and - of course - after deleting and reinstalling a plugin too).
Ok, sorry, I wasn't clear. I have no multisite language switcher widget available there. I have all the other widgets but that one.
This is really strange. What version do you have installed? The last one?
Yes. I tried both installing within the plugin manager and uploading the folder through a FTP client.
The result is the same when I activate the plugin it takes the old settings (are they store in the DB yet?), and there is no widget.
Yes, the settings are stored in the options-table.
Do you have the plugin 2 times installed?

I installed and reinstalled many times... either through plugin manager and FTP.
P.S.: wordpress updated in the meanwhile and the problem is still present.
Look I just want to understand the problem so I can help you.
In all cases I saw it was just a problem in the setup of the blogs (same admin and the email-address changed in the settings for example). There is nothing you can change if you reinstall the plugin.
The problem will persist if you not look for the real reason why it want work for you. If you want that I try to look for that, send me an eMail.
